How Instagram Sellers Can Publish a Refund Policy and Manage Requests

Display refund terms before purchase and let eligible buyers send a structured request from their private order link.

How Instagram Sellers Can Publish a Refund Policy and Manage Requests

Many Instagram orders begin in a comment and end in a direct message. When the refund policy is buried in a Highlight—or never stated—the buyer and seller can remember the sale differently.

ClaimCart requires a merchant to configure a refund policy before connecting a product to an Instagram post. The merchant can state that refunds are accepted or publish an explicit no-refund policy, subject to applicable consumer law. Products can still be drafted first, so catalog work is never blocked.

What buyers see before purchasing

The private checkout link displays the seller's policy before the buyer submits an order. If refunds are accepted, it also explains the configured request window, such as seven or fifteen days after payment. The policy remains available on the signed order page after purchase.

Requesting a refund from the order link

For an eligible paid order, the buyer can select one of the merchant's reasons, add a note, and send the request directly from the private link. The request is not an automatic approval and does not move money.

The merchant sees the request in the order dashboard and can mark it reviewing, approved, rejected, or completed while recording a response. The merchant must return funds through the payment method used and comply with applicable law.

When a seller does not follow the displayed policy

A buyer can email support@claimcart.store with the order number and relevant screenshots or other evidence. ClaimCart can review misuse of its platform or restrict an account, but it cannot refund money it never received, adjudicate every product dispute, or replace payment-provider chargebacks and consumer-protection rights.

The goal is a clear record: the policy shown before purchase, the request sent after purchase, and the seller's response preserved in one place.
